Deputy Election Commissioner of Election Commission of India reviews poll preparations

All preparations have been completed for fair and peaceful voting in all the 8 Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies of the fourth phase under the Lok Sabha Elections-2024. Arrangements for cold drinking water, essential medicines and tents are being made at all polling stations. Voter information slips are being distributed. Continuous efforts are also being made to increase the voting percentage. The voting percentage in the third phase of voting has increased in comparison to the 2019 elections. The voting percentage in the fourth phase is also expected to increase.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan said this during the review of election preparations for the fourth phase by Shri Ajay Bhadu, Deputy Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India, through video conferencing. Shri Rajan said that special precautions are being taken at the checkpoints along the border states. Strict monitoring is being done continuously here. Seizure proceedings are also being carried out continuously.

Deputy Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India, Shri Ajay Bhadu held separate discussions with the General Observer, Police Observer and Expenditure Observer of Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone and Khandwa Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies and sought information about the election preparations. He said that expenditure observers should be more cautious on the day of voting. The observers gave sequential information about the election preparations being done by the district teams.
