PM-SURAJ portal will help disadvantaged sections: CM Dr. Yadav

The benefits given to beneficiaries of schemes of the Government of India will be deposited direct into their bank accounts. It will eliminate middlemen. Financial assistance will be provided to disadvantaged sections through PM-SURAJ portal.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi after launching the Samajik Uthhan Evam Rozgar Aadharit Jan Kalyan (PM-SURAJ) portal said that the citizens of the country are members of his family. The government has been working to bring about positive changes in the lives of citizens. The Government is committed to empowering women. Beneficiaries from about 525 districts of the country joined the programme virtually.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the foremost objective is to make India a developed nation by 2047. Shri Modi said that in past deprived sections were overlooked. Many generations of these classes spent lives without basic facilities. The ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’ approach is being practiced since 2014. The government is reaching out to the people. Once upon a a time, it was difficult to get ration. In the last 10 years, the underprivileged have regained dignity of life. They are getting benefits of Ayushman Card, Ujjwala Scheme. Scholarships and fellowships have been introduced. The benefits of Mudra Yojana have been given to the needy. The development of the pilgrimage sites associated with the life of Dr. Ambedkar has been done.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that sewer and septic tank labourers are being given PPE kits today. Successful startups of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes are being given benefits under the Venture Capital Fund Scheme/Ambedkar Social Innovation Incubation Mission.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that now the entire country is witnessing the welfare of the deprived and backward communities. An amount of Rs 720 crore has been sent directly to the bank accounts of one lakh underprivileged beneficiaries. More than 500 districts stayed connected.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav joined the programme online from Dhar. He said that Prime Minister Shri Modi deserves commendations as he pays greater attention to people and their advancement. The new portal will support the schemes meant to enhance dignity, ensure employment and welfare of the weaker sections.

India has emerged as a major economy of the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Many heads of the state feel honoured to meet Prime Minister Shri Modi. In the last 10 years, India has earned a distinct identity in respect of developmental works guided by Prime Minister Shri Modi. Indore received the cleanest city award for the seventh consequtive times in Madhya Pradesh, which has also received the award twice.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a new university has come into being in Khargone in the name of Tantya Mama. There was a time when our revolutionaries faced humiliation. After independence, representatives of Scheduled Tribes were not given due respect.

At the outset, Prime Minister Shri Modi interacted with select beneficiaries from different places of the country. First of all he communicated with Narendra Sen of Indore. Indore MP Shri Shankar Lalwani and public representatives were present on this occasion.
