Total of 153 nomination papers have been filed by 113 candidates so far

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan said that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the first phase was completed today. On March 27, 64 candidates filed 89 nomination papers. Since the release of the notification, till March 27, a total of 153 nomination papers have been filed by 113 candidates.

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan has informed that till March 27, 30 nomination papers were filed by 22 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 11 Sidhi, 14 nomination papers were filed by 10 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 12 Shahdol (ST), 33 nomination papers by 22 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 13 Jabalpur, 18 nomination papers by 16 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 14 Mandla (ST), 27 nomination papers have been filed by 19 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 15 Balaghat, and 31 nomination papers have been filed by 24 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 16 Chhindwara. Affidavits and other information of the candidates who have filed nomination papers can be seen on the website of Election Commission of India, link https://affidavit.eci.gov.in/. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on Thursday, March 28.

Shri Rajan said that the candidates who have filed nominations for the first phase will be able to withdraw their names till Saturday, March 30. Voting for the first phase will take place on Friday, April 19. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.
