Works of Rs 940 crore completed in Bhopal Smart City

Under the Smart City Mission, 70 projects costing Rs 940 crore have been completed in Bhopal Smart City. The Central Government had issued the guideline of Smart City Mission on 25 July 2015. Under this, 100 cities of the country were selected on the basis of competition. The main objectives of the Smart City Mission were the proper development of cities, economic reform and improvement in the lifestyle of citizens.

Bhopal Smart City

The works that have been primarily completed in Bhopal Smart City include public bike sharing, smart road, boulevard street, smart pole, smart LED light, construction of government housing, construction of incubation centres for skill development of youth, conservation of archaeological heritage and renovation of Sadar Manzil. Works worth Rs 940 crore have been completed on all these projects.
