Inauguration and bhoomi pujan of 48 development works worth Rs 1373 crore in Jabalpur

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while reiterating the government’s commitment to the allround development of the state as well as social concerns, said that instead of celebrating World Environment Day as a one-day program, the government will celebrate the entire fortnight from June 5 to June 16 in the form of Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan for water conservation.Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the public meeting organized in Bajnamath after offering shramdan for the cleanliness of Sangram Sagar pond under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan. He said that under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, the campaign of cleaning the river, ponds, old check dams, and step-wells with public cooperation in every district of the entire state and revitalization of water structures is going on in the entire state.

Among those present inthe public meeting were State Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, MLA Shri Ajay Vishnoi, Ashok Rohani, Sushil Tiwari Indu, Dr. Abhilash Pandey, and Santosh Varkade, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu, District Panchayat President Smt. Asha Mukesh Gontia, District Rural President of BJP. Subhash Tiwari Ranu, BJP city president Prabhat Sahu, former minister Shri Harendra Jeet Singh Babbu, Shri Vinod Gontia, Dr. Jitendra Jamdar and Shri Akhilesh Jain.

The programme began with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performing the Bhoomi Pujan and inaugurating 48 development works worth Rs 1373 crore. On this occasion, under the Rural Livelihood Mission, the Women Self Help Group of Kundam signed an agreement with the Dugdha Sangh to sell Kodo-Kutki products in the Sanchi parlour under the Rural Livelihood Mission and also benefited the beneficiaries under various schemes.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized the privilege of being born as a human on Earth, highlighting that the entire planet serves as our collective home. He stressed the imperative for all individuals to actively preserve and safeguard our water heritage. Dr. Yadav also drew attention to the historical initiatives in water conservation, citing the endeavors of Rani Durgavati of the Gondwana Empire.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav affirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the public and addressing societal needs. He pledged relentless efforts towards the state’s progress, leaving no avenue unexplored. Dr. Mohan Yadav further declared imminent plans for the establishment of industries and fostering employment opportunities. Additionally, he unveiled upcoming initiatives, including the launch of an air taxi service connecting Jabalpur to Rewa, Bhopal, and Singrauli, alongside the provision of air ambulance services to enhance medical care accessibility for all citizens.

No life without water– Minister Shri Rakesh Singh

While addressing the public meeting, Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh said that without water, there is no life and the water crisis is a global crisis now. In this scorching heat, the Chief Minister has decided that under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, the government will do the work of reviving water structures in every district. The Chief Minister has come to take part in the cleanliness campaign in Sangram Sagar Pond.

Public Works Minister Shri Singh said that we all have witnessed the condition of this historic Sangram Sagar pond of Rani Durgavati era years ago and at that time I undertook a campaign to clean it with the help of all of you and subsequently the work was done to develop it as a tourist place and today its transformation is in front of you.

Shri Singh said that today the Chief Minister saw the step well of Garha area and after its renovation, he sipped water from that step well, this proves that the work of rejuvenation of the step well has been successful and if all of you cooperate, then we will work to preserve not one or two ponds and not one or two step wells but many such water structures. He said that this campaign of the Chief Minister will bring results in the entire state and Madhya Pradesh will be capable and prosperous in terms of water. At the end of the public meeting, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu expressed gratitude to all the invitees.

Development works dedicated and Bhoomi Pujan performed

The construction works dedicated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav include Chitakhuri Dam Scheme and Complex costing Rs. 693.62 crore, Amar Agro Grains LLP Hargarh Jabalpur costing Rs. 7.50 crore, Triguna Agri Foods Private Limited worth Rs. 4.50 crore, Shivaay Rice and General Mills Private Limited Hargarh Jabalpur worth Rs. 2.75 crore, Amar Agro Grains LLP Hargarh Jabalpur worth Rs. 1.65 crore, Primary Health Centre Barela worth Rs. 2.53 crore, construction works of various CC roads worth Rs. 6.94 crore under Kayakalp Abhiyan along with water body rejuvenation project Barela worth Rs. 85 lakh. Along with this CM dedicated water supply Katangi costing Rs. 30.78 crore, water supply Patan costing Rs. 28.24 crore and water supply Panagar worth Rs. 42.8 crore. Similarly, the construction work of Food and Drug Laboratory costing Rs. 5 crore, MPMSME Exhibition Centre costing Rs. 2.66 crore, Aadhartal Divisional Farmers Training Centre costing Rs. 95 lakh, AJK police station Jabalpur costing Rs. 1.76 crore, joint tehsil Bhawan Gorakhpur costing Rs. 6.40 crore and Majhauli Tehsil Katav Dham Sthal development work costing Rs. 1.19 crore were dedicated.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also performed Bhoomi Pujan of Infrastructure Hargarh costing Rs. 280 crore, Mahakoshal Distilleries Umaria costing Rs. 240 crore, besides total 22 sub health centres costing Rs. 65 lakh each.
