Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has pledged unwavering commitment to the comprehensive development of Dindori, ensuring no effort is spared. He announced the creation of new employment opportunities for the district’s youth, alongside plans to transform Vikrampur into a thriving industrial hub, fostering industrial growth, trade, and employment in the region. To address Dindori’s electricity challenges, a 132 KV sub-station will be constructed in Shahpura. Additionally, 75 BSNL towers will be installed to enhance mobile connectivity. Recognizing Dindori’s rich medicinal heritage, an Ayurvedic college will be established to harness this natural wealth. The Gram Panchayat of Gadasarai will be elevated to sub-tehsil status, improving access to revenue-related services. To boost irrigation, the canals in Dindori will be concretized, expanding their reach and efficiency. The compensation for villagers affected by the dams of Upper Narmada, Basunia, and Raghavpur will be increased, ensuring fair recompense for those impacted.For better transportation, a two-lane road will be constructed from Dindori to Mudki, and a bridge will span the Chakrarar river near Bachhargaon. The infrastructure of the Narmada river Banks will be developed and beautified, ensuring a comfortable and serene experience for devotees. Lastly, a new building will be constructed for the Municipal Council of Dindori, enhancing the administrative infrastructure and supporting the region’s continued growth.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav assured that during his next visit to Samnapur, he will ensure that the town is granted tehsil status. Dr. Yadav was speaking at a special thanksgiving event for the Ladli Behnas, held at the college grounds in Dindori as part of the Raksha Bandhan and Savan festival celebrations. Emphasizing the government’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, he highlighted recent initiatives aimed at enhancing their dignity, safety, and well-being.In a show of support, the government recently transferred Rs 1,250 to the accounts of Ladli Behnas and provided Raksha Bandhan gifts worth Rs 250. Dr. Yadav reaffirmed that efforts are underway to further elevate the joy and prosperity of the Behnas, doubling their happiness in the days to come.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav proudly announced that the state’s improved sex ratio is a direct result of the high regard and social respect accorded to women in Dindori, where there are now 1002 women for every 1000 men. In his commitment to empowering the tribal communities, Dr. Yadav highlighted the increase in compensation for tendu leaf collectors, raising the amount from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 per bag.Through the PM Janman Yojana, a remarkable Rs 7,300 crore has been invested in construction projects across tribal areas. Additionally, Rs 148 crore has been transferred under the Aahar Anudan scheme to support the women of the Baiga, Bharia, and Sahariya tribes, who are now receiving Rs 1,500 per month. In further support of education, Rs 505 crore has been distributed under pre-matric and post-matric scholarships, reflecting the government’s steadfast dedication to uplifting these communities.
Bonus will also be given on paddy crop
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that, following the precedent set for wheat, bonuses will now also be provided for paddy, and milk producers will receive bonuses on their milk sales. He emphasized the commitment to enhancing agricultural prosperity, noting that the State Government, in collaboration with the Central Government, is contributing Rs. 6,000 annually, effectively doubling farmers’ annual support to Rs. 12,000.To further support agricultural development, the government will also encourage millet (Shri Anna) producers by purchasing Ragi alongside Kodo-Kutki at a support price. This initiative underscores the administration’s dedication to bolstering the livelihoods of farmers and promoting the cultivation of essential crops.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced plans to enhance health facilities in the district by introducing expanded ambulance services. For patients requiring urgent treatment at major hospitals outside the district, an air ambulance service will be made available. Additionally, Shanti Vahans will be arranged in hospitals to offer further support. Dr. Yadav also highlighted the exceptional talent among the district’s folk artists, noting that prominent figures such as Shri Bhajju Shyam, Smt. Durgabai Vyam, and Shri Arjun Singh Dhurve have been honored with the prestigious Padma Shri award. This recognition underscores the rich cultural heritage and artistic excellence present in the region.

In the programme, the women of the district tied Rakhi to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and said that we all have a brother Mohan Bhaiya, who understands our difficulties and given us Raksha Bandhan gift along with the amount of Ladli Behna Yojana. The Chief Minister was overwhelmed and said that India is the only country in the world where Raksha Bandhan is celebrated, which shows our cultural strength.
Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing and Minister in charge of the district, Smt. Pratima Bagri greeted Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on the holy festival of Rakhi in Dindori district. He said that the arrival of the Chief Minister on the holy festival of Rakhi is a good fortune for the district. Remembering the contribution of Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai on her birth anniversary, he said that Rani Avanti Bai has brought pride of the region by rescuing the British in the revolution of 1857.
He offered floral tributes to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna, Late. Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary. MP Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste also gave information about the achievements and needs of the area.
