eSIM on a compatible smartphone will enable greater convenience and flexibility for Vi prepaid customers. eSIM supports multiple profiles on a single device, so one can conveniently use a second sim card without removing the primary sim. Most importantly, eSIMs are a step towards sustainability and, overall, leads to faster connectivity and seamless adoption of new technologies. With this launch all Vi customers, both postpaid and prepaid, can now enjoy the eSIM feature on their handsets (primary devices).

How to get Vi eSIM on your phone:
For activating eSIM, it is mandatory to have a registered Email ID.
Customers can register or update their Email ID by:-
· Downloading Vi App and visiting “my account” section OR
· Sending an SMS EMAIL
After registering their email ID, customers have to wait for 48 hours before initiating request for eSIM.
Existing Customer
● Send an SMS with “eSIM
● If your email id is valid, you will receive a confirmation SMS. You would need to reply with “ESIMY” to confirm the eSIM change request within 15 mins of receiving the message
● Post your confirmation SMS, you will receive another SMS requesting consent over a call
● After providing your consent on call, you will receive a QR Code on your registered email id which you will have to scan by going to Settings > Mobile Data > Add data plan
● If needed, rename the data plan label for secondary SIM; else continue
● Choose the default line (Primary) for your device and click Done
● Your eSIM will be activated within 30 minutes after successfully scanning the QR code
New Customer
● Customers can visit their nearest Vi store with their identity proof and follow the activation process, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience
● Additionally, Vi has enabled an online journey on www.myvi.in, for prepaid subscribers, further streamlining the activation process
