TVS RACING TEAM GEARS UP FOR THE 2024 INDIAN NATIONAL MOTORCYCLE RACING CHAMPIONSHIP (INMRC)

Chandigarh, June 14, 2024: Being at the forefront of nurturing racing talent since 1982, TVS Racing is gearing up for the 2024 INMRC season in India this year, after a spectacular win at the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) in 2023. TVS Racing team will be participating in two categories this year, namely Pro stock (PS) up to 165 cc with TVS Apache RTR 165 GP, and Pro stock 301 cc to 400 cc with TVS Apache RR 310, to showcase outstanding racing skills by the racers.

The first round of 2024 TVS One Make Championship (OMC) will take place alongside INMRC, that has five categories: TVS OMC Rookie Category; TVS OMC Women’s Category; TVS OMC Young Media Racer Programme; TVS OMC RR 310 (Race of Champions) and TVS OMC EV Category. With the aim to democratize motorsports in India, participants in all five categories will cater to different segments target audiences.

The racing team put up a stellar performance last year, dominating the 13th edition of INMRC. We clinched the Team Championship title for pro stock 165cc and made history in the world of e-racing. We are confident that the team is ready to put up stellar performances across categories again this year, and I wish them all the best for the season.”

In line with the company’s commitment towards safety of its riders, TVS Motor becomes the first Indian manufacturer to take safety to the level adopted at MotoGP by introducing Alpinestars Air bags tech Air-5 & FIM homologated carbon fibre helmets for its racers, in this race season. The Pro Stock TVS Apache RR 310 motorcycle for this season comes equipped with electronic throttle, while TVS Apache RTR 165 GP gets an improved suspension. Additionally, both the motorcycles will offer a more refined engine, better aerodynamics backed by decreased CdA, thereby ensuring better vehicle performance.

TVS Racing continued to dominate at the 2023 INMRC delivering an electrifying performance, winning the Team Championship title for the fifth consecutive year in the Pro Stock 301-400cc category, while K Y Ahamed clinched the Rider Champion title. Additionally, the team leapt into the future by introducing its First ever E-racing OMC in India breaking records with the all-electric TVS Apache RTE. TVS Racing achieved a new lap record time of 1 minute and 47.3 seconds, surpassing the previous best of 1 minute and 49.1 seconds with the Apache RTE e-Race Motorcycle, and established a new top speed record of 199 kph, exceeding the previous record of 193 kph in the e-Race category.
