The target is to build 25 thousand houses for police personnel in the state this year, out of which 12 thousand houses have been built. Police band teams will work independently in every district of the state. Each member participating in the band program presented under Swar Megh will get an incentive amount of Rs 11,000 each.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav participated in the musical program presented by the Madhya Pradesh Police Band under the Swar-Megh program this evening at Motilal Nehru Police Stadium. The newly formed police band enthralled the audience with their soulful performance. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated all the members of the police force for their excellent performance and appreciated their skills. Backward Class Welfare Minister Smt. Krishna Gaur and Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai was present in the program. About 330 policemen in the state have been trained as members of the police band. They will perform in different districts on Independence Day. As per the intention of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh Police personnel interested in music were given training in band playing.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the ‘Swar-Megh’ program was fascinating. The police personnel have taken up the motto of patriotism and public service and have remained engaged in security and service day and night. For this, I salute and congratulate all the policemen of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today in the Police band ‘Swar-Megh’ program, it seems that Megh himself is the host. I am happy today, I am sure all of you are also sharing the moment of joy with me.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the first meeting at the Police Headquarters, instructions were given that police bands should be formed in all the districts. Establishing police bands in each district was a very difficult and challenging task, but the task was completed due to the willpower of the police.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that at the time of independence, there used to be police bands in most of the districts, but as the policemen retired, there was a shortage of jawans in the police bands. It was a challenge for us to complete it. We tried to have the police band perform in every district by August 15, 2024. I am happy that the police not only accepted that challenge but also made it come true. Now an excellent presentation by the police band will be given in every district on Independence Day. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there will be a provision of police bands in all the districts of the state, for which, recruitment will be done systematically. He said that 340 policemen of the state have voluntarily started police bands in all the districts. This willpower shows that whatever the police want, and the administration wants, it takes shape. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this day will be written in golden letters in the glorious history of the Madhya Pradesh Police.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has taken many important decisions for the modernization and empowerment of the M.P. Police. A decision has been taken to recruit 7500 posts in the police. A police hospital with a 50-bed capacity will also be inaugurated in Bhopal. In case any Madhya Pradesh Police jawan lays down his life while on duty, 50 percent each of Rs 1 crore will be shared by the martyr’s wife and his parents. The police have also redefined the boundaries of police stations at certain times. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that I am also happy that the police have taken up this challenging task, which will benefit 22 thousand villages. I am confident that Madhya Pradesh Police while discharging its responsibilities, will create its own identity through such actions.

By increasing Police-public interaction, the Police band strengthens their bond: DGP Shri Saxena

DGP Shri Sudhir Kumar Saxena said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the Police Brass Band has been established in all the police units of the state. The Chief Minister’s vision of upliftment of the Police Band is not only strengthening the performance of the police force but is also bringing closeness between the police and the public and instilling enthusiasm among them. While the Police Band increases and strengthens the interaction between the public and the police, at the same time its music resonates in the environment, instilling a sense of patriotism among the common people and making them feel proud. Be it a national festival or any other day, the program seems incomplete without this band. He said that the patriotic songs played by the police band instill a feeling of patriotism in the mind of every citizen. At the same time, it also proves helpful in strengthening the resolve of “patriotism-public service” in the minds of police personnel. Compared to other states of the country, policemen of Madhya Pradesh are performing better in this area.

Band members present tunes

Members of the Police Brass Band gave rhythmic presentations in the ‘Swar-Megh’ program organized at Motilal Nehru Stadium located at Lal Parade Ground, Bhopal. In the police band display, the members of the Police Brass Band tied the occasion by presenting melodious tunes like fanfare, quick march, slow march, standing display, drum beating, etc. On this occasion, the musical instruments played by the police personnel filled all the attendees with enthusiasm. The songs replete with the feeling of patriotism and love for the country-infused the feeling of patriotism in the minds of people and left an indelible impression in every heart.

Policemen from all the battalions of the state were included in these 330 trainees so that the target of establishing bands in all the units could be accomplished quickly. Trained police officers and employees were sent to their respective districts in 49 districts of the state to make the parade of 15 August 2024 a glorious one. Band groups are already formed in 6 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Thus, this year, parades will be conducted on Independence Day with bands in all 55 districts of the state.

Madhya Pradesh Police trainees create history

Madhya Pradesh Police also sent 19 employees of the state to the country’s best band training school, BSF Bengaluru, for a 6-month advanced course. The trainees completed training in musical instrument playing, drill with musical instruments, theory class, etc. In this advanced course, trainees were given complete and detailed information about reading music notation, writing music notation, and playing musical instruments.

On June 14, the Director General of Police met all the master trainers who had passed the Advanced Band Course from Bengaluru and put formation signs on them.
