Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and the citizens of Bhopal for setting a record by planting 12 Lakh saplings in a single day under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. In his tweet, Prime Minister Modi praised this initiative by Dr. Yadav and the people of Bhopal, calling it a model for the entire country. He emphasized that such efforts play a crucial role in making the environment cleaner and more beautiful.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiration has always driven historic achievements through public participation and the collective resolve of the nation. From transforming the country’s image through the cleanliness campaign to combating COVID-19, India set a remarkable example to the world under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s leadership. He further added that under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s leadership, Madhya Pradesh is committed to planting 5.5 crore saplings.

It may be noted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign on the occasion of World Environment Day. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav started this campaign in the state by planting saplings at Jamboree Ground, Bhopal on Saturday. A record 12 lakh saplings were planted in a day at 300 places in the capital Bhopal. Residents and students also contributed to the campaign by planting saplings in large numbers.
