Raipur 09 July 2024
Aiming to encourage student participation in the state’s development, the State Planning Commission, along with the Higher Education and School Education Departments, is organizing an essay competition. The State Planning Commission is currently drafting a document titled ‘Amritkaal: Chhattisgarh Vision @ 2047’, aimed at ensuring rapid development across all sectors and achieving the goal of transforming Chhattisgarh into a developed state by 2047. Students in Class 11th and 12th from both government and private higher secondary schools and colleges are invited to participate in the competition by presenting their ideas on the topic ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh, Mere Sapne ka Khushhaal Chhattisgarh’ (Developed Chhattisgarh, Prosperous Chhattisgarh of My Dreams). Essays will be evaluated based on criteria that include relevance, assessment of the current situation, innovation, feasibility, clarity, and presentation. Outstanding essays will receive certificates from the Commission.
State Planning Commission Member Shri K. Subramaniam and Member Secretary Shri Anup Shrivastava stated that students must submit essays of 1500-2500 words in either Hindi or English. They are expected to assess the current status of Chhattisgarh, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and outline their vision and approach for transforming the state into a prosperous and inclusive entity by 2047. Topics for consideration include enhancing industry and services, promoting agriculture and forestry, improving education quality and skill development, ensuring quality healthcare services, expanding infrastructure, advancing social welfare initiatives, promoting good governance and sustainable development.
Joint Director Dr. Nitu Goradhiya stated that the competition aims to inspire students to actively contribute to the state’s development, with their ideas potentially shaping Chhattisgarh’s future positively. The State Planning Commission has appealed to all students to participate enthusiastically in this competition. Students can contact their college or school principal for more information.
