State Govt to build three crore houses, every poor to get a permanent house – CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that water sustains all beings. Rivers enrich greenery. Realizing importance of water, the Jal-Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan is going on and will conclude on Ganga Dussehra.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a public meeting at the Utkrisht Vidyalaya grounds in Multai in Betul today. Dr. Yadav performed bhoomi pujan and inaugurated 1008 works worth Rs 347 crore in Betul district. The Chief Minister also distributed benefits of various government schemes. Union Minister of State Shri DD Uike also addressed the gathering.

Industries will be launched in Betul

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the people are ready to contribute to making India number one in the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The people have expressed their confidence in Prime Minister Shri Modi in the Lok Sabha elections.

Dr. Yadav said that every poor person will have a permanent house. The state government is going to build 3 crore pucca houses to provide permanent houses to all eligible families. Har Ghar Jal and Har Nal Mein Jal campaigns are also going on. The state government is determined to provide tap water in all panchayats and gas stoves in every house.

Airstrips of districts to be used for pilot training of youth

Dr. Yadav said that a helicopter service is being started for pilgrimage, initially, two Jyotirlingas, Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar are being connected. Training courses are being started for the youth to learn to operate helicopters and planes. The airstrips available in districts will be used for this.

Grant to cow shelters doubled

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that places where Lord Shri Ram and Shri Krishna stepped in the state, will be developed as a pilgrimage site. Tapti Dham will also be developed. He said that the mother cow is worshipped with deep respect. The state government will provide care to mother cows. The amount of grants meant for cow shelters has been doubled. The bonus on milk will be started soon.

Over two thousand works worth Rs 41.46 crore for Betul

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are more than 212 rivers in Madhya Pradesh. The importance of the Tapti River in Betul and surrounding districts is equal to that of the holy Ganga. Jal-Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan is dedicated to the maintenance and conservation of sacred rivers and water sources of the state.

So far, more than 1 lakh 12 thousand people have actively participated in this campaign in the state. More than two thousand water augmentation and conservation works costing about Rs 41 crore 46 lakh are going on in Betul district. More than 1300 works costing Rs 39 crore 53 lakh are in progress in rural areas and more than 800 works costing Rs 1 crore 92 lakh are in progress in urban areas. Over 5 thousand works under MNREGA are going on in Betul district. More than 114 recharging works are also going on in the urban area. Work is also being done on more than 119 wells and step wells in the Betul district. People are being encouraged to instal roof water harvesting. This will help in water recharging and ensure everyone’s participation in water conservation.

Campaign to plant 5.5 crore saplings

Dr. Yadav said that along with the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, a campaign to plant 5 crore 50 lakh saplings is being started. Trees and plants provide life-sustaining oxygen.

Chief Minister accorded a grand welcome in roadshow

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also participated in a road show where he was given a grand welcome by the public representatives at the helipad on Masod Road. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reached the Maha Aarti gate of Tapti Bank with a grand Kalash Yatra from Old Nagpur Naka, Ambedkar Chowk. He had darshan of Maa Tapti on the river bank and participated in the cleanliness campaign by performing Jalabhishek. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, offered prayers on the banks of Suryaputra Maa Tapti at Multai, the origin of the Tapti river, and offered Chunari to Tapti Mata.

Visits exhibition site

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reached the Utkrisht Vidyalaya ground located at Multai and visited the stalls set up by various departments including Aajeevika Mahila Self Group on development and public welfare activities.

District Panchayat President Shri Raja Panwar, Betul MLA Shri Hemant Khandelwal, Amla MLA Dr. Yogesh Pandagre, Multai MLA Shri Chandrashekhar Deshmukh, Bhainsdehi MLA Shri Mahendra Singh Chauhan, Ghoradongri MLA Smt. Ganga Sajjan Singh Uike and other public representatives were present.
