Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that India is a country that abounds in festival culture. There is some basic feeling behind every celebration. These festivals include rituals of mutual brotherhood and love. Out of the 12 months of the year, Shravan is the most awaited month. With the onset of rain, swings start appearing on the trees. And in this month comes the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Today I am blessed to celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan with Ladli Behnas. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed a thanksgiving program dedicated to Ladli Behnas at Itwari Ganj Jaivik Krishi Mandi of Balaghat.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that our culture teaches us that parents have the right to our love first. Then comes the right of our sisters. Since August 1, I have been receiving immense love from my sisters at different places in the state. The eagerness with which they waited for me while I was on my way to Balaghat from Jabalpur amid heavy rains is proof of this love. An amount of Rs 1250 with an additional Rs 250 will be transferred to the accounts of Ladli Behnas with a single click under the Ladli Behna Yojana on 10th August as a Shagun/gift of Raksha Bandhan. When my sisters apply tilak and tie Rakhi, I will automatically get their blessings.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that our sisters know very well how to utilize and spend this amount. An amount of Rs 08 crore 92 lakh will be given to the sisters of Balaghat district on 10th August. Our government has provided an amount of Rs 500 crore to 3 lakh 56 thousand sisters every month from June 2023 to August 2024. For the empowerment of women, the government is now also providing gas cylinders for Rs 450 under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Gas Yojana. The government has taken the initiative to economically empower women by connecting them with industries through self-help groups and MSMEs.

Like wheat, a bonus will be given for paddy also

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Chinnor rice of Balaghat district has bagged the GI tag. Now, like wheat, farmers will be provided a bonus for paddy also. Besides, bonus will be given to improve the economic condition of cattle rearers and boost their income. To encourage tendu leaf collectors, the amount paid to them per bag will also be increased. Under PM Janman Yojana, a provision of about Rs 7,300 crore has been made in the budget for the economic and social upliftment of special backward tribes. Construction of 19 roads will also be started in the Baiga settlements of the tribal community. Besides, Nal Jal Yojana benefits will also be provided under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that the land of Balaghat of the state is blessed with abundant natural mineral wealth for which it is recognized both in the country and abroad. It abounds in precious metals like manganese and copper. The district has about 80 percent of manganese reserves. Next time I will go to Malajkhand and see the copper mining work here.

Chief Minister will inaugurate a medical college in Seoni

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that work is being done to further improve the health facilities in the state. He informed that very soon a new medical college will come up in Seoni. He said that 12 medical colleges will be started in the state under the PPP model. Apart from this, survey work will also be done to make Seoni to Balaghat Road four lane.
