Rs 246 crore released under Kayakalp Yojana

Funds to be utilized to improve roads of urban bodies

As intended by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and on the instructions of Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Commissioner of Urban Administration and Development Department Shri Bharat Yadav has released an amount of Rs 246 crore to the urban bodies of the state. While an amount of Rs 146 crore has been released to 405 bodies under the Kayakalp Yojana, Rs 100 crore has been released to 148 bodies for the Urban Area Development Scheme.

The state government launched the Kayakalp Yojana in the state two years ago. In this scheme, priority is given to the quality construction of new roads, and the strengthening of existing roads in urban areas. Commissioner Shri Bharat Yadav said that the construction work will be completed within the stipulated time limit in those bodies to which funds have been released.
