Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the traditional grand fairs and yatras of the state like Bhagoria Utsav and Mahakal’s ride etc. should be promoted through impactful means. Along with modern publicity, encourage local artists playing traditional musical instruments and traditional dance groups by creating connections with them. This will also promote local art and traditional dances. CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in the Mantralaya. The Chief Minister reviewed the structure, responsibilities, investment promotion policies, publicity and tourism development works of the Tourism Board.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav asked to work on the plan to build a research centre or museum dedicated to the arts and literature of Raja Bhoj in Bhopal. Promote adventure activities that attract youth. Co-ordinate with production houses and artists coming to the state for shooting and publicize the good schemes and achievements of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while reviewing the operation of PM Shri Tourism Air Service, directed that the number of flights should be increased on those routes where there are more bookings of passengers. Operate aircraft with more seating capacity. Include the route of air service in the religious pilgrimage scheme. Class-2 and 3 executive officers of the government should also be considered for eligibility for travel through PM Shri Tourism Air Service and prepare proposals.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav asked to work on a plan to conduct employment-oriented skill courses in the tourism sector by connecting with the universities of the state. This will connect the youth of the state with tourism and they will also get employment. Also, try to run way-side amenities and highway treats etc. near tourist places through cooperative.

Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director Tourism Board Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla gave a presentation on the activities, achievements and upcoming work plan of the Tourism Board. Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge) and Vice Chairman Tourism Board Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi joined the meeting through VC. Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Forest Shri Ashok Varnwal, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Manish Singh, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Shri Neeraj Mandloi and Managing Director Tourism Corporation Shri Ilayaraja T along with concerned departmental officers were present.
