Police Play a Crucial Role in Upholding Good Governance and Order – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Ministers Residence Hosts Felicitation of Medal-Winning Police Personnel and Their Families

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav praised the Madhya Pradesh Police for their commendable work in maintaining order and controlling crime. He emphasized the crucial role that the police play in upholding good governance, acknowledging the dedication of officers and personnel who consistently prioritize their duties. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the family felicitation program honoring 69 police officers and personnel who were awarded for their meritorious service and bravery at the state-level medal decoration ceremony on Independence Day. He expressed his admiration for the outstanding performances by the police families and staff during the event. Dr. Yadav also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the officers and personnel who received the Police Medal.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav commended the Madhya Pradesh Police for their unwavering commitment, often risking their lives to fulfill their responsibilities. He recalled the bravery of police personnel who stood at the forefront during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Yadav highlighted that these courageous officers and jawans excel not only in duty but also in the cultural arena. He also instructed that participants of the vibrant cultural program presented at the Chief Minister’s residence be recognized with awards.

Reflecting on Lord Krishna’s tireless efforts to uphold Dharma against Adharma, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav drew a parallel to the role of the police in today’s world. He emphasized that, much like Krishna, the police work diligently to maintain justice and order. Dr. Yadav also highlighted that Independence Day is the grandest celebration for all, symbolizing our highest values of freedom. It is a time when the entire nation comes together, filled with a profound sense of patriotism and joy.

Director General of Police Shri Sudhir Kumar Saxena stated that, in line with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s directives, the Madhya Pradesh Police have implemented measures to regulate the use of loudspeakers, improve police station facilities, and enhance cow protection efforts. Additionally, the department has made significant strides in promoting officers and reinforcing the importance of the police band. He assured that the Madhya Pradesh Police will remain vigilant and proactive in combating threats, whether they come from dacoits, Naxals, or anti-national elements.

On this occasion, the family members of Madhya Pradesh Police and the police staff presented a wonderful cultural program which included patriotic songs, group songs, melody orchestra, group dance and dance drama. Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri S.N. Mishra, Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Raghavendra Kumar Singh, DG Home Guard Shri Arvind Kumar, Special DG Shri Vijay Kataria, ADG Lokayukta Shri Yogesh Chaudhary and many senior officers and police officers and jawans along with their family members were present in the program. ADG SAF Shri Sajid Farid Shapoo expressed his gratitude.
