Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah has said that the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign spearheaded by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has now become a mass movement. This is a manifestation of public respect towards mother and Mother Earth. Every person is paying respect to mother and Mother Earth by planting a sapling. Indore is already known for cleanliness, taste, cooperation, good governance and participation. Union Home Minister Shri Shah was addressing the program of planting 11 lakh saplings under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan organized at Revati Range Complex in Indore today.

Indore will also be known across the country for massive plantation under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan. This world record of planting 11 lakh saplings in 24 hours in Indore will make Indore, the city of Devi Ahilyabai, famous across the world with a new record. He said that planting a sapling is easy, but caring it challenging. All the participants planting saplings need to take care of the saplings planted by them. He said that planting 51 lakh saplings and planting 11 lakh in a single day is unprecedented. He congratulated the people of Indore for the unique event.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Union Minister Sushri Savitri Thakur, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, MP Sushri Kavita Patidar, Mayor Mr. Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs and famous film actor Sheri Randeep Hooda, film director, producer and writer Shri Neeraj Pathak and a large number of citizens were present.

Union Home Minister Shri Shah said that after becoming a smart city, metro city, clean city, hub of modern education, Indore will now also be known as a green city. In this holy campaign of plantation, the young mayor of Indore participated with the support of people from every section of society, Along with the planting of saplings like Peepal, Banyan, Neem etc. in Indore, plants with medicinal properties like Guava, Karonda, Sitaphal, Amla are also being planted. CAPF jawans did a remarkable job of planting 5 crore 21 lakh saplings. The Union Home Minister Shri Shah, while saluting the CAPF jawans, said that the CAPF jawans have done a commendable job of planting 5 crore 21 lakh saplings last year from Kanyakumari to North East and from Bengal to Gujarat. Similarly, by 2024, the planting 6 crore saplings will be completed by planting one crore more saplings.

He said that holy scriptures and Puranas educate us about the importance of trees. It has been said in Matsyapurana that one stepwell is equal to 10 wells, one pond is equal to 10 stepwells, one son is equal to 10 ponds and one tree is equal to 10 sons.

Environmental protection is a concern for the world today. Carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide have reduced the ozone level, due to which the heat on the earth has started increasing and climate change is being experienced. Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan run by Prime Minister Shri Modi is the right answer to climate change. Madhya Pradesh is the lungs of India Union Home Minister Shri Shah thanked Madhya Pradesh very much. Madhya Pradesh is the lungs of India which gives oxygen to the whole country. Its 31% area comes under forest cover and 12% of the total forest cover of the whole country is in Madhya Pradesh, due to which eco-friendly tourism has also been promoted in Madhya Pradesh. The state has 6 tiger reserves, 11 national parks and 24 sanctuaries. Cheetahs have also been brought to Kuno Sanctuary by Prime Minister Shri Modi.

Several initiatives have been taken by Prime Minister Shri Modi towards environmental protection Union Home Minister Shri Shah said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has taken several initiatives like One Earth, One Family and One Future along with Global Biofuel Alliance in G-20. Due to which Prime Minister Shri Modi has also been awarded the “Champion of Earth” award by the UN.

Prime Minister Shri Modi has proposed Green Credit Program in COP 28. Permission was given for blending 20% ​​ethanol in petrol and diesel. By 2025, 20 percent ethanol will be blended in petrol and diesel across the country. More than 12 refineries have been set up to convert biomass into biofuel. A program of 20 thousand crores has been made under Green Hydrogen Mission. Similarly, several initiatives have been taken by Prime Minister Shri Modi towards environmental protection. The first environment department was created in Gujarat by Shri Modi. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the country, safe,It will become prosperous, modern and number one in the world.

Shri Shah Said that Madhya Pradesh’s budget reflects the balance between farmers and development. He said that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly developing in the areas of infrastructure, education, economic stability etc. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has presented the biggest budget of Rs. 3 lakh 65 thousand crores in Madhya Pradesh till date. Union Minister Shri Shah congratulated the Madhya Pradesh government and all the organizers for this event. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that rivers in Malwa like Chambal, Shipra, Gambhir and other seven rivers originate from Indore. He said that one tree is equal to 10 sons. In this way, the record of planting 51 lakh saplings in Indore today is unprecedented. Malwa culture has a tradition of maintaining harmony with nature. Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign has taken deep roots. Under the campaign, 51 lakh saplings are being planted in Indore, 40 lakh in Bhopal and 10 lakh in Ujjain.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Indore participates in every resolution of the Prime Minister. Shri Modi said that one sapling has to be planted in the name of mother. The people of Indore have decided that they will fulfill this resolution. The population of Indore is 30 lakh but we will plant 51 lakh saplings. An estimated 60 lakh saplings will be planted. He said that Indore is known as a clean city. That too was the dream of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Indore gave a new direction to the country and now Prime Minister Shri Modi has envisioned Green Indore, on which a city giving the message of Green Indore is going to be built. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that the Prime Minister’s letter is full of emotions. Indore is grateful to the Prime Minister. He has blessed us to make it a green city.

Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat said that on Environment Day, Prime Minister Shri Modi took the pledge of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan, which 140 crore people are engaged in completing. A record of 9 lakh saplings was made in Assam, now the name of Maa Ahilya’s city Indore is being established on the world stage. He said that the record of Clean City has been made seven times. Now Indore is going to become a green city.

Indore is moving towards a world record. Indore has fulfilled Prime Minister Shri Modi’s dream of a model of cleanliness with public participation. We are promoting green solar energy. The campaign of planting 51 lakh saplings simultaneously is being run with the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri Modi.
