The officers and employees working in Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company (MPUDC), an undertaking of the Urban Development and Housing Department, will now get the benefit of the new contract policy of the state. Managing Director of the company Shri Bharat Yadav has issued orders in this regard. After the order was issued, the company employees expressed gratitude towards the state government. In July-2023, the state government had issued detailed guidelines regarding the contractual policy of employees working in the state.
Employees will start getting facilities like appointment opportunities on regular posts, salary increase as per Consumer Price Index, compassionate appointment in case of death during service, gratuity payment, benefits of National Pension Scheme and health insurance benefits under the benefits of contract policy.
It may be noted that in the year 2016, MPUDC employees were not getting any kind of salary raise. These workers were also getting facilities at a very limited level. After the issuance of the new order, officers and employees working in 13 project implementation units and project management unit of Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company will get the benefit of the new contract policy.
