Nomination papers of 6 candidates were found invalid
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan said that as per the election schedule of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the nomination papers received for the first phase were scrutinized today. During this period, nomination papers of a total of 107 candidates were found valid while the papers of six candidates were found invalid.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan said that in the scrutiny of nomination papers on March 28, the nomination papers of 20 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 11 Sidhi, 10 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 12 Shahdol (ST), 21 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 13 Jabalpur, 16 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 14 Mandla (ST), 17 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 15 Balaghat and 23 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 16 Chhindwara have been found valid.

Shri Rajan said that the candidates who have filed nominations for the first phase will be able to withdraw their names till Saturday, March 30. Voting for the first phase will take place on Friday, April 19. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.
