In Gwalior, the students of local government Padmaraje Girls Higher Secondary School enthralled everyone by presenting a musical dance drama centered on voting on the tune of the folk song “Moko Karno Hai Matdan Ki Polling Le Chal Languria”. Also gave a message to everyone to definitely vote. Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan and Commissioner Gwalior Dr. Sudam Khade along with all the officers and senior citizens present in the programme appreciated this presentation. On this occasion, Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan administered oath to everyone to exercise their franchise on 7th May, the great festival of democracy. Also called upon to cast their vote themselves and inspire their family members, friends and neighbours to vote.
This presentation took place in the voter awareness programme held at Tansen Residency, Gwalior on Wednesday under SVEEP (Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation). On this occasion, Inspector General of Police Gwalior Shri Arvind Saxena, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Shri Vivek Shrotriya, Local Collector and District Election Officer Smt. Ruchika Chauhan, Superintendent of Police Shri Dharamveer Singh and District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Shri Vivek Kumar and other senior officers and officials of the city were present and senior and young voters were present.
Everyone should vote in the Lok Sabha elections: Shri Rajan
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan said that Gwalior district should not lag behind in voting. He said that in democracy we all have the right to choose the government through voting. We all should use our vote. Everyone should come forward and vote in the Lok Sabha elections. Everyone should not only exercise their franchise but should also inspire others to do so.
Kamakshi becomes brand ambassador of Gwalior
Under the direction of Acharya Shri Brijesh Yadav of Padma Vidyalaya Gwalior and choreography of student Ku. Kamakshi, the presentation highlighting the importance of voting including the pink booths run by women was highly appreciated by everyone. Commissioner Dr. Khade was pleased with this excellent presentation. He announced to make Kamakshi the brand ambassador of SVEEP. He also said that people will be motivated to vote by staging of this dance drama at various places in the district.
