More than 101 percent success achieved in the scheme

Madhya Pradesh has secured the top rank in the country in the PM Street Vendor Scheme by distributing more than 11 lakh 95 thousand loans under the scheme. Out of these, 8 lakh 38 thousand street vendors are doing digital transactions. These street vendors have received about Rs 21 crore cash from the banks. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Tokhan Sahu will present the Systematic Progressive Analytical Realtime Ranking Award (SPARK) to Principal Secretary Shri Neeraj Mandloi in New Delhi on July 18. The award ceremony is being organised at the National Programme India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. An ambitious self-employment scheme is being run in the state from July 2020 with the aim of providing financial support to street vendors.
Under PM Street Vendor Scheme, funds have been disbursed in 1 lakh 99 thousand loan cases from the year 2021. In the year 2022, funds were disbursed in 1 lakh 70 thousand loan cases. In the year 2023, amount was distributed in 4 lakh 84 thousand loan cases. State Mission Director PM Swa-Nidhi and NULN Shri Kailash Wankhede informed that this year maximum numbers of cases have been approved and amount has been distributed in Madhya Pradesh. Under PM Swa Nidhi Scheme, loans of Rs. 10, 20 and 50 thousand have been approved to street vendors in phases.
In the award ceremony, urban bodies Ujjain, Khargone and Sarani will be awarded under PM Swa-Nidhi and urban bodies Jabalpur, Sidhi, Mandsaur and Itarsi will be awarded under DAY-NULM scheme. Two urban street vendors and two support groups benefited from PM Swa-Nidhi scheme will also be felicitated in the programme.
