Kajal Aggarwal’s thankful for lessons learned, moments that didn’t go as planned in 2024

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IANS) As the year comes to an end, actress Kajal Aggarwal has expressed her gratitude to 2024 for all the lessons learned, laughs shared, and the moments that didn’t go as planned but somehow worked out better than expected.

Sharing a picture with her husband Gautam Kitchlu and her son Neil on Instagram, the actress posted a note expressing her gratitude.

She wrote: “As this year comes to a close, I can’t help but feel a mix of gratitude and relief—like surviving a reality show where the challenges were mostly self-inflicted. But in all seriousness, I’m thankful for the lessons learned, the laughs shared, and the moments that didn’t quite go as planned but somehow worked out better than expected.”

“To the people who have been there through my best ideas and my “what was I thinking?” moments, I’m truly grateful. Life may not have gone according to my meticulous plans (spoiler: it never does), but it’s been a year of growth, humour, and unexpected wins.”

She now hopes that 2025 does not bring any plot twists.

“Here’s to the lessons we didn’t want to learn, the surprises we didn’t see coming, and the friends who stuck around through it all. Bring on next year—just please, no more plot twists. #2025 #excitedforthenewyear.”

Kajal, who is considered as one of the highest paid actresses in South Indian cinema, made her acting debut with a minor role in the 2004 Hindi film Kyun! Ho Gaya Na… and had her first Telugu film release in Lakshmi Kalyanam in 2007.

In the same year, she gained the spotlight for her role in Chandamama. The 2009 fantasy film Magadheera, one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time, marked a turning point in her career.

Her work in films such as “Darling”, Brindavanam, Mr. Perfect, Businessman, Naayak, Baadshah, Govindudu Andarivadele, Temper, Khaidi No. 150, Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Awe and Bhagavanth Kesari, Naan Mahaan Alla, Maattrraan, Thuppakki, Jilla, Vivegam, Mersal and Comali, was appreciated by critics and the audiences alike.

Her most successful Hindi films include the action film 2011’s Singham starring Ajay Devgn and the thriller Akshay Kumar-starrer Special 26.
