Chief Electoral Officer Shri Rajan appeals to voters

Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan has appealed to all the voters to participate in the great festival of democracy by casting their vote. In democracy, the vote of every voter is very important. Your vote strengthens the foundation of democracy. Voting is an expression of our faith in democracy. Hence all must vote.

Shri Rajan said that the Constitution has given you the right to choose the government of your choice. Therefore, respect this constitutional right and vote. Voters should first vote, then perform their other duties.

Shri Rajan said that all arrangements have been ensured for the convenience of the voters. In view of the heat, arrangements for shade, water and essential medicines have also been made in the polling stations. He said that while going to vote, apart from the voter information slip, one should also carry a photo identity card. He has said that in polling stations where the number of voters is high, additional staff have been put on duty, so that voters do not have to wait for long.

It may be noted that in the third phase, voting will be held in 9 Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies – Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, Rajgarh and Betul from 7 am to 6 pm on May 7.
