Raipur, 09 July 2024

In compliance to the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, inspection of the works approved under School Jatan Yojana, such as the renovation of repairable schools and the construction of additional rooms for the year 2022-23, has been commenced. Secretary of School Education Department Shri Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi has directed all the District Collectors to conduct an expert committee review of the justification, requirement, completion, and status of the under-construction works approved under School Jatan Yojana, and to provide the information to the Directorate of Public Instruction within 15 days in the prescribed format.

In a letter dispatched to the Collectors, Secretary Shri Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi stated that the department had previously released the funds for the works approved under the scheme. The government has received complaints regarding the quality of construction works. He directed the Collectors to inspect the current status of the ongoing works and to take strict action against those found involved in any discrepancies. He also requested the Collectors to submit reports in the prescribed format, detailing the name of the school, approved work, sanctioned amount, physical status of the work, cost, justification and requirement, and quality.
