Independence Day: A Time to Honor the Sacrifices, Courage, and Bravery of Our Immortal Martyrs: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister takes part in ‘Azadi Ka Mahaparv’ cultural evening

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that Independence Day, or the “Festival of Independence,” is a day to honor the sacrifices, courage, and bravery of our immortal martyrs. He reminded us that the country’s freedom was won through the bloodshed of its brave sons and daughters, urging us never to forget the valor of heroes like Rani Durgavati, Chandrashekhar Azad, Jhansi ki Rani Lakshmi Bai, and Prithviraj Chauhan. Dr. Yadav highlighted the pride we take in the bravery, struggle, and victories of these freedom fighters, particularly noting the inspirational legacy of Prithviraj Chauhan. He also praised the countless brave women, such as Rani Durgavati, whose stories enrich our nation’s history. The Chief Minister underscored the importance of books documenting the freedom struggle, sacrifices, and the lives of our freedom fighters as invaluable resources for the country and state. He acknowledged that while our past rulers didn’t have modern technology, they preserved the nation’s pride through their ultimate sacrifices. Dr. Yadav urged that we should embrace new technologies while respecting the lessons of history. The Chief Minister shared these thoughts during the ‘Azadi Ka Mahaparv’ cultural evening at Rabindra Bhawan Auditorium on Independence Day. The event was attended by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture and Tourism Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, and Principal Secretary of Culture and Tourism Shri Sheoshekhar Shukla. Dr. Yadav also extended a warm welcome to renowned playback singer Sushri Palak Muchhal and singer Palash Muchhal, who graced the event with their performances.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the country is progressing steadily in these changing times under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, of whom we are immensely proud. He highlighted the self-sufficiency of our armed forces, praising the bravery of Indian soldiers who have triumphed over the enemy on numerous occasions.

Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, while wishing the 78th Independence Day, remembered and paid tribute to the immortal martyrs who gave independence to the country. He said that we have become independent only because of our bravehearts. Prime Minister Shri Modi is working for the development of the country, society, and nation. Prime Minister Shri Modi has resolved that the country should once again become a world leader.

In the programme organized by Swaraj Sansthan, Directorate of Culture Department, the artists group of renowned playback singer Sushri Palak Muchhal and singer Shri Palash Muchhal presented patriotic songs and cultural programme. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released 15 books based on the theme of freedom struggle in Madhya Pradesh. The Kala Panchng 2024-25 of the Culture Department was also released. Principal Secretary Culture Shri Sheoshekhar Shukla welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by presenting a sapling and also expressed his gratitude.
