Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that in the changing cycle of time, the world’s first Vedic clock established in Ujjain will make Madhya Pradesh and the country renowned in the world. Now India’s time will be known to the entire world. The state government is also trying to create literature centered on Samrrat Vikramaditya. We have always been proud of Samrat Vikramaditya. This was stated by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in his address after inaugurating the Vikramotsav-2024, Regional Industries Conclave Ujjain-2024 and Ujjaini Trade Fair-2024 organized by Culture Department, Swaraj Sansthan and District Administration at Kalidas Academy, Ujjain on Friday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, along with the guests on stage, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and garlanding the pictures of Maa Saraswati and Samrat Vikramaditya. MSME Minister Shri Chetan Kashyap, Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Shri Dharmendra Lodhi, MP Shri Anil Firozia and MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluhera, Shri Satish Malviya, Shri Chintaman Malviya and Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal were present on stage.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the civilization established by Samrat Vikramaditya has gained recognition in the world. Samrat Vikramaditya is known as the first person to have established a civil system. He said that Vikramotsav is a festival run by the government which takes society along. Ujjain is a city of time calculation. Besides, Ujjaini is also the city of Mahakal. We are the carriers of Sanatan culture and we are proud of it. Great poet Kalidas has described the glory of Ujjain through his treatise and epics.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released Arsh Bharat, Veer Bharat, Sankalp Nyas and books focused on freedom fighters of Mandla, Dindori, Jabalpur, Satna districts, books published under the title Ramraja and a CD focused on Ramraja of Orchha.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia participated virtually in the programme. He said that Ujjain is an ancient city. It is an ancient heritage not only of Madhya Pradesh but of the entire world. It is a matter of pride that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is not only working for the development of Ujjain but the entire state. Efforts are being made by them to make Ujjain not only a religious and spiritual center but also a trade, business and major industrial center.
Referring to the contribution of Scindia family in the development of Ujjain, Union Minister Shri Scindia said that Mahakal Temple was constructed by Maharaja Ranoji Scindia and Madhav Maharaj II had established the Free Trade Fair in Madhavganj. He said that there is immense potential in Ujjain. The opening of Ujjain Trade Fair is an important step for the state. Along with agriculture, there are immense possibilities in the field of pharma industry and textile in Madhya Pradesh. Shri Scindia said that after Indore, Ujjain will also be recognized as Mini Bombay in the coming times.
