Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel addresses ration card issues at Nawagarh Camp

Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel visited the Jan Samasya Nivaran Pakhwada camp organized by the Urban Administration Department in Nagar Panchayat Nawagarh of Bemetara district, on Monday. During his visit, he engaged with beneficiaries to discuss issues related to ration card distribution, the availability of food grains through fair price shops, and other concerns.

Shri Baghel stated that the camp aims to address problems faced by those who have not yet received their ration cards. He mentioned that applications for ration card renewal will be accepted until August 15. Renewals can be processed through the official Food Department website at
https://fcs.cg.gov.in/
Beneficiaries may also visit their nearest fair price shop to complete their ration card renewal and e-KYC.

The Minister further explained that for e-KYC, biometric updates are required for all beneficiaries. Those with Bal Aadhar cards must first update their biometrics at an Aadhar Seva Kendra. Following this, e-KYC can be completed through the e-POS machines available at fair price shops. He assured that the e-KYC and ration card renewal services are free of charge and encouraged people to apply at the camp.
