The palace’s 50 spacious rooms and suites transcend time, offering a glimpse into an era of nobility and splendour. Rightfully named after the first light of the sun, the rooms set in nine acres of sun-drenched gardens are adorned with intricate filigree work and jaali-inspired arches which let natural light to flow in. Guests can step into a bygone era, complete with a ceremonial horse-drawn carriage and the traditional Maratha tutari welcome on arrival. The majestic Navtaal swimming pool, ingeniously designed as nine lakes connected by Venetian-inspired bridges, stands as a heavenly centrepiece of the palace’s lawns.
