Entry gates will be built for cities: CM Dr. Yadav

There should be no delay in the construction of national and state highways for any reason
Chief Minister reviews the National Highways

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the importance of constructing entry gates in all cities across the state. These gates, reflecting the culture, history, and unique identity of each city, should be built alongside the development of national and state highways. Dr. Yadav noted that these entry gates will not only enhance the cities’ identity but also serve as useful structures for monitoring and security. He made these remarks during a review meeting on National Highways at Samatva Bhavan. Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Ashok Barnwal, Principal Secretary of Public Works Shri D.P. Ahuja, and other officials were present at the meeting as well.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that roads have an important role in upgrading and strengthening the economy of the state and speeding up the process of development. It should be ensured that there is no delay in the road construction process due to land acquisition, departmental permissions, land availability etc. The proposals for the roads to be built to directly connect the remote areas of the state to the capital Bhopal should be implemented within the time limit. In the meeting, under the review of National Highway projects, discussions were held regarding separate construction levels of Damoh to Shahgarh, Morena-Sabalgarh, Dhar-Gujari, Bamitha-Satna, Satna to Chitrakoot, Jabalpur-Damoh and Obedullaganj-Betul-Nagpur roads and converting the Ujjain to Jhalawar road from two lanes to four lanes.
