Electricity consumers of various categories to get subsidy of Rs 24 thousand 420 crore

The State Government’s subsidy will be given in the electricity rates applicable for the financial year 2024-25 that is given by the tariff order of Electricity Regulatory Commission on March 06, 2024. The State Cabinet chaired by the Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at Mantralaya today took this decsion.

The department will give subsidy to consumers of different categories from the budget of the Energy Department in the financial year 2024-25. Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission has determined the electricity rates for the financial year 2024-25, which has become effective from April 1, 2024. This will entail a financial burden of Rs 24,420 crore in 2024-25.

Cabinet grants approval to fill the posts of medical experts

The Cabinet approved creating 46,491 new posts (regular, contractual and outsource) out of which 18,653 will be filled in coming three financial years. Expenditure of Rs. 343 crore 29 lakh on these posts was also approved. Remaining 27838 posts will be filled through National Health Mission.

Approval has been given to fill 607 posts of medical specialists through direct recruitment to provide expert services in the health institutions for improving health indices. Under the Public Health and Medical Education Department, 50 percent i.e. 607 posts out of 1214 vacant posts of 07 specialties like Anesthesiologist, Medical Specialist, Gynecologist, Pediatrician, Radiologist, Orthopedic Specialist, and Surgery Specialist will be filled through direct recruitment. Accordingly, permission was given to advertise through the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission to fill the vacant posts.

Deputation or contractual appointment in Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department

The Cabinet decided requisite staff in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department on deputation from the Public Health and Medical Education Department or on contract under the Contract Recruitment Rules 2003 administered under the department.

In case of filling on contract, appointment will be given on consolidated revised remuneration (Rs.) to Senior Consultant (equivalent to Professor of Medical College), Consultant (equivalent to Associate Professor of Medical College), Junior Consultant/Specialist (equivalent to Assistant Professor of Medical College), and Medical Officer.

Establishment of three new universities approved

The Cabinet has decided to approve establishment of new universities in Sagar, Khargone and Guna. Creation of posts and financial assistance for previously running university at Shahdol for affiliation. Approval of Rs 3 crore has been granted for the initial requirement of new universities Rani Avantibai Lodhi University, Sagar, Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University, Khargone and Krantiveer Tatyatope University, Guna, and an amount of Rs 10 crore for the first year in the supplementary budget of the financial year 2024-25. For each university, 14 administrative posts, 140 academic posts and 81 non-academic posts, a total of 235 posts (expanded over 5 years) have been approved. The Higher Education Department has been authorized to determine the subject matter of academic posts. Rs 150 crore has been sanctioned to each new university for capital projects including building construction. Along with this, Rs 45 crore for Pandit Shambhunath Shukla University, Shahdol, thus a total of Rs 495 crore, has been approved in principle.

This year will be observed as Year of Gauvansh Protection

In order to protect Gauvansh, the Cabinet has approved to observe this year’s Gudi Padwa of Chaitra till next year as Gauvansh Protection Year.

In compliance with the announcement of the Chief Minister, this year is being celebrated by as Gauvansh Protection Year from Pratipada (Gudi Padwa), Chaitra, Shukla Paksha, 9 April 2024 to the upcoming Amavasya, Chaitra, Krishna Paksha, 29 March 2025. It is being celebrated under the Madhya Pradesh Cow Promotion Board. Cow shelters will be rewarded for their best managerial operation.

Arrangements will be made to ensure that the cattle heads injured in road accidents could be immediately provided treatment. The hydraulic cattle lifting vehicle will be managed under toll system. Programs will be organized throughout the year on 26 important dates related to Gauvansh at cow shelters of. To connect the Gaushalas with the society, various social, auspicious, and religious programms will also be organized.
