Governor Shri Patelinaugurates Language Festival organised at Sapre Museum
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that the society should nurture a sense of pride towards the mother tongue. Linguistic diversity is the distinctive heritage of Indian society. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the inaugural session of the Indian Language Festival organised at Madhv Rao Sapre Memorial Museum of Newspapers and Research Institute on Saturday. In this programme, Working President of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan, Shri Raghunandan Sharma was honoured for his social service work. On this occasion, Chairman of Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti, Shri Sukhdev Prasad Dubey was present on the stage.
Governor Shri Patel said that the facility of conversation and exchange of information on social media is having a deep impact on our languages. The rapid proliferation and use of corrupted forms of languages is worrying. He said that Hindi has great potential in strengthening the heritage of linguistic diversity and uniting people speaking different languages. It is important to avoid aggression in linguistic exchanges. He expressed hope that this festival will strengthen the efforts to enrich Hindi. He appreciated the efforts and dedication of the founder of the institute, Shri Vijay Dutt Sridhar. The involvement of three generations of his family in the service of the institute was described as a highly commendable contribution.
Padmashri Shri Vishnu Pandya said that the Indian Language Festival is an event that brings together the diverse Indian culture to celebrate the prominence of Hindi. He referred to the central figure of his book, Pandit Shyamji Krishna Varma, as the leader of India’s armed independence movement, who dedicated his life to India’s freedom awakening worldwide.He told that even after the demise of Pandit Krishna Varma in Geneva in the year 1930, his ashes were kept safe, because his wish was that his ashes should be immersed in independent India only. He told that many decades after independence, Shri Narendra Modi, as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, brought his ashes to India and got a memorial built in his birthplace in Kutch.
Hindi expert editor, and litterateur Shri Kailashchandra Pant said that the portrayal of Indian folk life in literature written in various Indian languages serves as a testament to the unity inherent in Indian culture.He expressed hope that this festival will further enhance the richness of Indian languages. The event will inspire the university to come forward to save the Indian knowledge tradition.
Founder coordinator of the museum, Shri Vijaydutt Sridhar threw light on the outline. He toldthat the Language Festival has been organized to consider the role of language in national unity and emotional integrity. He gave information about the released books and expressed his gratitude to the guests.
In the programme, Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel dedicated books Kranti ki Khoj Mein Pandit Shyamji Krishna Verma author Shri Vishnu Pandya and Sushri Arti Pandya, Kailashchandra Pant: Hindi Jeevanvrati, editor Dr Mangla Anuj and Hindi language special edition of magazine Akshara managing editor Dr Sanjay Saxena, Ayodhya 22 January writer Sanjeev Sharma, Lajawab Shakhsiyate: Kuchh Likes, writer Ajay Bokil. On this occasion, books authentic large Bundeli dictionary, Hamara Bundelkhand, Bundelkhand Vishwakosh were presented to Governor Shri Patel.
