Commerce and Industries Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan’s efforts are driving significant infrastructure development in Korba

Korba City has received approval of more than Rs. 200 crore for construction and development projects

Raipur, 16 August 2024

Commerce and Industries Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan’s efforts are driving significant infrastructure development in Korba, including the construction of new roads and the repair of existing ones. The new road connecting Sarvamangala Temple Road to Kanaki Road is nearing completion, and plans for renovating several other roads are set to begin after the rainy season. Minister Shri Dewangan has been actively involved in improving Korba’s road infrastructure, providing essential guidance to the district administration, and implementing effective measures at the government level.

Shri Dewangan has instructed the Collector to prioritise the repair of the road from Major Dhyanchand Chowk Rumgara to BALCO, highlighting its importance as a key route in Korba with heavy vehicle traffic throughout the day. The dilapidated condition of the road has caused significant difficulties for commuters, making its repair a top priority.

Notably, through Minister Shri Dewangan’s efforts, the state government has approved more than Rs. 200 crore for construction and development projects in Korba City. These include major initiatives such as the construction of underbridges, an indoor stadium, and a swimming pool. The state government has also allocated more than Rs 50 crore for road construction, cement concrete roads, and drainage projects under various schemes.
