Anganwadi workers and sahayikas to get insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh each
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced a special Raksha Bandhan gift for the Ladli Behnas. As the festival is approaching, Rs 250 will be transferred to the accounts of Ladli Behnas on August 1. Additionally, gas cylinders will be offered to 40 lakh Ladli Behnas with Ujjwala gas connections for just Rs 450. The State Government will bear the remaining cost of refilling. This initiative was approved by the Cabinet on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the cabinet has decided to extend insurance coverage under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana to women involved with Anganwadi and Poshan Aahar programs, including Anganwadi workers, mini Anganwadi workers, and Sahayikas. The government will provide an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh each for these individuals. Dr. Yadav said this while having discussion with media at the Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that no public welfare scheme will be withdrawn. He said that instructions have been given to make the operational public welfare schemes more accessible and to review them for promoting the welfare of the general public. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that new schemes will also be run as per requirement to benefit all sections of the government from the schemes.
