CM Dr. Yadav exhorts Jan Abhiyan Parishad to develop model villages

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has urged Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad to develop model villages focussing on agriculture, animal husbandry, environmental protection. Creating awareness among the general public towards development of model villages should also be undertaken on priority.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav apprised himself about the activities of the governing body of the Parishad at the Mantralaya on Monday and gave necessary instructions.

Senior officials including Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Patel were present.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the activities taken up by the Parishad are commendable. The work of encouraging panchayats for the development of model villages should be undertaken continuously by the Parishad. Work should be done to boost awareness in the field of heritage and rural tourism and to mobilize public support in the villages. Similarly, by contacting the farmers, zero budget farming must be promoted. Improving the breed of animals, resolving village issues, along with honouring dispute-free Gram Panchayats should also be taken up .

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Jan Abhiyan Parishad should also take initiative to improve delivery of public services enlisting the co-operation of social organisations. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Parishad will play an important role in conducting other socially useful campaigns like Jal-Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan. Educating the villagers about conservation of heritage sites should also be included in the creative efforts.

Release of course booklets

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devda and Panchayat and Rural Development and Labour Minister Shri Patel jointly released various course booklets. Under the Chief Minister’s Community Leadership Capacity Development Programme, the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) First Year Course was released on behalf of Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya University, Chitrakoot. Various eight booklets include Introduction to Social Work, Environmental Studies, Hindi Language, Admission Brochure, English Language and Indian Culture, Social Work and Other Concepts, Yoga and Meditation, Concept and Implementation of Development. Along with this, books of Masters of Social Work Course (MSW), Social Work in Industrial Organisations, Human Resource Management, Hindi Language and Culture, Community Organisation and Social Action were also released. The report of Voice of Landless and Socio-economic Condition of Agriculture, Labor was presented in the meeting.

Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla and Executive Director of MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Pandey were present.
