Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s efforts lead to efficient fertilizer and seed distribution across the state

Over 11.72 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer and 8.83 lakh quintals of seeds distributed so far

Following the directives of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, certified fertilizers and seeds are being distributed to farmers throughout the state in an efficient manner, tailored to their requirements. These distributions are being continuously monitored by officials from the Agriculture Department. So far, 11.72 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer—86 per cent of the target—have been distributed. Besides, 8.83 lakh quintals of certified seeds have been provided, reaching 90 per cent of the target.

Agriculture Department officials stated today that the area of sowing, which began with the onset of the monsoon, is gradually increasing. The monsoon conditions in the state are very favorable. So far, crops have been sown across 45.05 lakh hectares, which is 93 per cent of the targeted area. The state government has set a target of sowing various crops across 48.63 lakh hectares for this Kharif season.
