Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Awards Incentives worth Rs 26 lakh to Meritorious Children of Construction Workers

Meritorious Children of Construction workers can utilise the incentive to Purchase Scooters for Commuting to School and College

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai awarded incentives worth Rs 26 lakh to the meritorious children of registered construction workers under “Noni-Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayta Yojana”. This program was held at the Chief Minister’s residence office prior to the ‘Jandarshan’ program. Labour Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan was also present at the program.

Chief Minister Shri Sai distributed cheques of Rs 2 lakh each to 13 meritorious children of registered construction workers who secured top 10 ranks in the 10th and 12th board examinations. At the onset, Chief Minister Shri Sai paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his death anniversary by offering flowers at his portrait. The amount of Rs two lakh awarded to each child included Rs one lakh as an incentive and Rs one lakh as a grant for purchasing a scooter.

It is noteworthy that the scheme “Noni-Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayta Yojana” benefits children of registered construction workers who are studying in 10th and 12th grades during 2023-24 academic session and have secured a place in the top 10 list in the examinations conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education for the year 2023-24.
