Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Forest and Environment Minister Shri Bhupendra Yadav participated in the plantation programme organised in Indore under the resolution of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. After arriving in Indore, they first garlanded the statue of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Union Minister Shri Yadav also planted Rudraksha saplings on this occasion.
On this occasion, Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLA Shri Golu Shukla, Shri Gaurav Randive, Shri Chintu Verma and other public representatives were specially present.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is a matter of great pleasure for us that Prime Minister Shri Modi has launched the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign for environmental protection. Under this campaign, 5.5 crore saplings are being planted in the entire state. It is a matter of pride that the work of planting 51 lakh saplings has been started in Indore city and the entire district. He said that the plantation campaign in the state is taking the form of a mass campaign. Active participation of every section of the society is being seen in this.
