Housing and Environment Minister Shri OP Choudhary will inaugurate the conference
Discussion on the 25-year roadmap for development alongside environmental protection
Aiming to make the vision of development with environmental protection meaningful, a conference on ‘Chhattisgarh Vision 2047’ will be organized by the Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board on March 15 in a private hotel from 11:30 am. The event will be inaugurated by Finance, Housing, and Environment Minister Shri OP Choudhary. Chief Secretary Shri Abhitabh Jain will preside over the proceedings.
The conference aims to advance the objectives of ‘Viksit Bharat’. Representatives from various sectors including Integrated Steel and Sponge Iron Plants, Coal Washeries, Thermal Power Plants, Coal Mines, Iron Ore Mines, major hospitals, and Sponge Iron Associations will participate. Besides, state heads of Rolling Mill Associations, Mini Steel Plant Associations, Minor Mineral Associations, and Joint Solid Waste Disposal Facility along with Commissioners from Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, and Bhilai Municipal Corporations will also attend the conference.
Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board Member Secretary Shri P. Arun Prasad highlighted that the conference will focus on discussions about economic development and environmental sustainability. The goal is to position Chhattisgarh as a developed state alongside India by its 100th year of Independence in 2047. ‘Chhattisgarh – Vision 2047’ serves as an important platform for sharing ideas and suggestions to formulate a roadmap for environmental protection over the next 25 years.
