Chhattisgarh records average rainfall of 207.2 mm so far

According to information compiled by the State Level Control Room established by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the State Government, the state has received an average rainfall of 207.2 mm since June 1 this year. As of the morning of July 9, 2024, the highest average rainfall, 342.8 mm, has been recorded in Sukma district, while Surguja district recorded the lowest average rainfall at 94.6 mm.

Surajpur district received an average rainfall of 145.1 mm, Balrampur 231.1 mm, Jashpur 190.7 mm, Koriya 175.8 mm, and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district 140.4 mm.

Similarly, Raipur district recorded an average rainfall of 176.2 mm, Baloda Bazar 247.1 mm, Gariaband 177.9 mm, Mahasamund 179.7 mm, Dhamtari 184.7 mm, Bilaspur 284.2 mm, Mungeli 240.6 mm, Raigarh 268.1 mm, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh 158.7 mm, Janjgir-Champa 221.5 mm, Sakti 213.1 mm, Korba 329.7 mm, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 274.8 mm, and Durg 129.4 mm.

From June 1 until now, Kabirdham district has received an average rainfall of 195.7 mm, Rajnandgaon 173.3 mm, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki 173.8 mm, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai 160.0 mm, Balod 199.1 mm, Bemetara 115.5 mm, Bastar 257.8 mm, Kondagaon 154.4 mm, Kanker 197.3 mm, Narayanpur 250.6 mm, Dantewada 223.3 mm, and Bijapur 332.3 mm.
