Chhattisgarh CM meets Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, discusses employment generation, labour welfare and expansion of sports facilities

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today met Union Minister of Labour, Employment, Youth and Sports Affairs Mansukh Mandaviya and urged him to provide more assistance for employment generation, labour welfare and expansion of sports facilities in Chhattisgarh.

During the meeting at his residence in New Delhi, the Chief Minister informed him about the progress made in the fields of labour, employment and sports in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma was also present at the meeting.

Chief Minister Sai also informed at the meeting that the Chhattisgarh Government has taken several important steps to protect the interests of the workers. These include increase in minimum wage rate, implementation of labour welfare schemes and creation of new employment opportunities. The Chief Minister sought more cooperation from the Central Government to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state.

In the field of youth and sports, the Chief Minister informed that sports facilities are being expanded in the state. He said that the Chhattisgarh government has launched various schemes to encourage sports talent in rural and tribal areas. The Chief Minister requested the union sports minister to provide more support to these schemes by the Central Government so that the youth of the state can excel at the national and international level.

Mandaviya appreciated the efforts of the Chief Minister and praised the steps taken towards development in the state. He assured him that the Central Government will provide all possible support to Chhattisgarh.
