Blood Donation Camp held at Military Hospital

A voluntary blood donation camp was organised at Military Hospital Bhopal on August 1 as part of AWWA Day celebrations. The camp was inaugurated by President, Military Family Welfare Organisation, West MP Sub Area, Smt. Hemali Kabthiyal. The blood donation camp was organised under the supervision of Brigadier K Rahul Ray, Commandant Military Hospital Bhopal

The Blood Bank of Hamidia Hospital at Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal played a key role in facilitating the organisation of the camp.

A lecture on the importance and technical aspects of blood donation was also given by Lt. Col. Nidhi Rathi, Diagnostician, Military Hospital Bhopal and Shri Puneet Tandon, Chief Physician, Blood Bank, Gandhi Medical College. The camp saw active participation of officers, nursing officers and soldiers of Sudarshan Chakra Corps and Headquarters West MP Sub Area. A total of 196 serving personnel of Bhopal Cantonment donated blood in the camp. The blood was handed over to the Blood Bank of Gandhi Medical College for storage and further use.
