On the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, a detailed action plan has been prepared to maintain the continuous water flow in the Kshipra River in Simhastha-2028. The plan includes construction of barrages and preventing pollution through diversion of the Kanh River. Basic Facilities will be ensured on the banks of Kshipra River to provide bathing facilities to the devotees. Experts will select the stones and other materials for construction of these Ghats.Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has instructed senior officers and engineers of the concerned departments to prepare an action plan and implement it after extensive study and research.

Devotees will not face any inconvenience in bathing etc.

To ensure the Kshipra River is pollution-free, a comprehensive plan has been proposed involving the diversion of the Kanh River, the construction of 11 barrages on the Kanh River, and 18 barrages on the Kshipra River across the Indore, Ujjain, and Dewas districts. This initiative aims to maintain a continuous water flow in the Kshipra River, especially for the Simhastha festival, enhancing the facilities for bathing. The action plan includes lifting 51 mm of water from the Sewarkhedi Barrage during the monsoon season. Additionally, the existing Silakheri reservoir will be expanded to ensure a steady flow of water in the Kshipra River throughout the year. This will provide devotees and tourists with convenient bathing conditions regardless of the season.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has instructed the construction agencies to ensure that all the work of the work plan should be done with quality within the time limit. It should be kept in mind that the proposed structures on the Kshipra river, the construction of proposed barrages, and the construction of necessary ghats do not cause any inconvenience to the residents.

Devotees will get adequate facilities at these ghats

According to the proposed action plan, 1500 metres from VIP to the Shani Temple in Ujjain, 7175 meters from V.I.P. Ghat to Jeevankhedi Bridge, 3810 meters from Jeevankhedi Bridge to Wakankar Bridge, 2938 meters from Wakankar Bridge to Gaughat Stopdam, 1590 meters from Chakratirtha to Rinmukteshwar Bridge, 11442 meters from Bhartrihari Caves and Siddhavat to Nagda Bypass and 760 meters from Shani Mandir to Gothda Barrage will be constructed.
