New Delhi, 12th March 2024: In an effort to offer convenient EV charging options to Ayodhya’s growing electric vehicle community, Statiq, a leading player in the EV charging infrastructure, has successfully inaugurated its maiden Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station in the district. Positioned strategically at Laxman Kunj Smart Vehicle Multi-Storey Parking, the station is the result of a partnership between Statiq and fleet partner MyEVPlus.
The charging station is equipped with one 60 kW DC charger (dual gun) and four 9.9 kW AC chargers, each featuring three sockets of 3.3 kW. The infrastructure allows simultaneous charging for up to 14 electric vehicles, catering to the growing demand for efficient and hassle-free EV commutes within the city.
Commenting on the initiative, Founder & CEO of Statiq, Mr. Akshit Bansal said, “With the parking facility accommodating 282 four-wheelers and 309 two-wheelers, our charging station serves as a key addition to enhance the visitor’s experience. This installation not only supports tourism but also improves accessibility for devotees visiting Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. By integrating EV charging infrastructure into prominent destinations, we aim to raise awareness about the environmental benefits of electric vehicles and contribute to reducing carbon emissions.”
Mr. Prashaant, Director, MyEVPlus, shared his thoughts on the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Statiq in this endeavour is in line with our commitment to establishing a robust and extensive charging infrastructure for electric vehicle users. While the charging station addresses the increasing need for electric vehicle infrastructure, at the same time, it also advances the broader objective of developing a sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation landscape. We firmly believe that such partnerships are vital in promoting the uptake of electric vehicles and nurturing a cleaner, greener future.”
In January 2024, under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath government, Passion International Private Limited in partnership with the Ayodhya Development Authority launched the “MyEVPlus” – a 100% electric vehicle cab service in Ayodhya providing a smooth pick-and-drop service for pilgrims arriving at the Ayodhya airport.
Statiq’s track record is a testament to its commitment, with over 7,000 charging stations already deployed across various cities in India. The company has set an ambitious target of establishing 20,000 EV charging stations by 2025, contributing significantly to the nation’s electric mobility segment.
