Urban Administration and Development Department sanctions Rs 4.8 crore for seven urban bodies under 15th Finance Commission and Rs 4.13 lakh for Sarangarh Municipality under 14th Finance Commission
Chhattisgarh Government’s Urban Administration and Development Department has approved a total of Rs 4 crore 83 lakh 81 thousand under the 14th and 15th Finance Commission for eight urban bodies of the state. These include a total amount of Rs 4 crore 79 lakh 68 thousand for seven urban bodies under the 15th Finance Commission and an amount of Rs 4 lakh 13 thousand for Sarangarh Municipality under the 14th Finance Commission. The department has made the aforementioned sanctions following the approval made by Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao to accelerate development works in urban bodies. Shri Sao has given the instructions to commence the proposed development works as soon as possible and complete the same within prescribed time limit, while adhering to the quality standards.
Under the 15th Finance Commission, the Urban Administration and Development Department has sanctioned Rs 1 crore 17 lakh four thousand for Narayanpur Municipality, Rs 15 lakh for Sargaon Nagar Panchayat, Rs 18 lakh for Kirori Malnagar Nagar Panchayat, Rs 93 lakh 35 thousand for Khongapani Nagar Panchayat, Rs 18 lakh 98 thousand have been sanctioned for Chhura Nagar Panchayat, Rs 53 lakh 97 thousand for Simga Nagar Panchayat and Rs 1 crore 63 lakh 34 thousand have been sanctioned for Sakti Municipality. Under the 14th Finance Commission, Rs 4 lakh 13 thousand has been sanctioned for Sarangarh Municipality.
