Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel has called upon people to draw inspiration from the ideals of Rani Avantibai Lodhi. He said that the new generation must know the rich history of Kshatriya Lodhi community. Shri Patel said that Rani Avantibai Lodhi bravely fought against the British rule and defeated them. He observed this while addressing a gathering at the Kshatriya Lodhi Mahasabha on the 193rd birth anniversary of Rani Avantibai Lodhi, held at her birthplace, Mankedi, Bargi, Jabalpur. He planted a sapling paying tribute to Rani Avantibai Lodhi.

Minister Shri Patel noted that the history of the Kshatriya Lodhi community is glorious. The community has given brave rulers and freedom fighters. Raja Hriday Shah to Rani Avantibai Lodhi, who demonstrated bravery and defeated the Britishers.

Minister Shri Patel emphasized the importance of remembering and honouring the freedom fighters. Efforts should be made to preserve history and traditions. The societies forgetting their history do not last long.

Minister Shri Patel said that Rani Avantibai Lodhi’s sacrifice, noting that at a young age she fought against the British adhering to her ideals and principles. The future generation must draw inspiration from her. He noted that the Rani opposed the arbitrary taxes imposed by the British on the poor and tribal people and fought against forced collections, defeating the British army twice.

On this occasion, Mr. Patel called for conducting a research about the community’s history and the identification of historians and writers. He also emphasized the need to honnour distinguished individuals from the community like writers, artists, athletes, educators, administrative officers, and businessmen. He said that educating children, especially girls and effacing out social evils would be the real tribute to Rani Avantibai Lodhi.

The event commemorating the 193rd birth anniversary of Rani Avantibai Lodhi included the planting of saplings in memory of Rani Avantibai.

It was attended by Kshatriya Lodhi Mahasabha’s Executive President Minister Shri Patel Kok Singh Navaria, State President and former Minister Shri Jalam Singh Patel, MLA Minister Shri Patel Preetam Singh Lodhi, Minister Shri Patel Prahlad Lodhi, Minister Shri Patel Neeraj Singh, MLA Ramsiya Bharti, Nagar Parishad Paatan President Acharya Jagendra Singh, Minister Shri Patel Shankar Mahto, and Tripti Singh. They also addressed the gathering and urged the community to draw inspiration from the valor and ideals of the immortal martyr Rani Avantibai Lodhi.
