Governor takes part in ‘Women and Child Health Empowerment’ program of Ultimate Foodies organization

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that a healthy mother is the basis of the country’s healthy future. If the mother is healthy then the child will be healthy. If the child is healthy, the family, society, and country will also be healthy. Governor Shri Patel said that constructive work for the benefit of society provides self-satisfaction. He appreciated the efforts of the organization for the health and empowerment of children and women. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the ‘Women and Child Health Empowerment’ program organized by Ultimate Foodies at Hotel Sayaji.

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the first 1000 days after the birth of a child lay the foundation for his health and future. A mother’s milk is like nectar for the newborn. Similarly, vaccinations given from time to time are also very important. Parents should pay special attention to the upbringing of the child during this period. He said that the organization should work to make pregnant mothers aware of their child’s health, breastfeeding, and necessary tests. Help must be provided to remove the misconceptions regarding breastfeeding and nutrition in remote areas.

Plant a sapling and nurture it

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that changing weather conditions, have given rise to many challenges related to the health of women and children. Therefore, under the government’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, every person must plant a sapling in his home, office, or wherever possible. He appealed to everyone to take the responsibility of taking care of the sapling after planting it.

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that maternal and child health is important for a developed country and society. The life of children and their overall development is an important aspect of building a prosperous nation. Many welfare schemes for maternal and child health are also being run by the Central and State Governments. The organization should provide special support to the efforts of the government in reaching the eligible beneficiaries and deprived sections with sympathy and empathy.

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel was welcomed with a bouquet and a memento. Governor Shri Patel distributed nutrition kits to children and women in the program and visited the exhibition. The founder of Ultimate Foodies organization Shri Abid Farooqui gave the welcome address and proposed the vote of thanks.
