Mumbai, Aug 7 (IANS) Actress Monalisa, who is all set to play the role of Mohini in the upcoming supernatural show ‘Shamshaan Champa’ shared that this character will be different since her looks, traits and strategies will not follow the usual approach.
The ‘Bigg Boss 10’ fame actress Monalisa opened up on her decision to be a part of the show: “I have played multiple roles in the past, many of which are evil or negative. Adding Mohini the daayan to the mix felt natural. The show’s storyline is unique and really piqued my curiosity about how it will unfold. Playing Mohini will be different since her looks, traits and strategies will not follow the usual approach, and I’m very excited about that.”
She further said: “Mohini is not someone you can fool or distract from her goals. She possesses unimaginable power and determination to achieve what she desires. To portray her, I must be precise and sharp — just like her.”
“Once I master her traits, I believe it will be a lot of fun. I’m sure the audience will be glued to their screens as the fascinating visuals and captivating storyline will keep them on the edge of their seats. I can’t wait to see their reactions to this new approach to a supernatural thriller, ‘Shamshaan Champa’,” she concluded.
The show promises a unique take on the world of supernatural thrillers that has audiences on the edge of their seats.
It will air on Shemaroo Umang from August 20.
Monalisa, whose real name is Antara Biswas has done Bhojpuri films like ‘Ranbhoomi’, ‘Hum Hai Khalnayak’, ‘Jade Mein Balma Pyara Lage’, ‘Nathuniya Pe Goli Maare’, ‘Devra Bada Satawela’, ‘Pocket Gangsters’, and ‘Pawan Raja’ among numerous others.
She has also featured in TV shows like ‘Laal Banarasi’, ‘Bekaboo’, ‘Namak Issk Ka’, ‘Mata Ki Mahima’, and ‘Nach Baliye 8’.
