Udaan Yuva Tourism Club Hosts Successful Educational Visit to National Crafts Museum and National Science Centre

Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, 04 August 2024 – The Udaan Yuva Tourism Club, affiliated with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, successfully organized a one-day educational visit to the National Crafts Museum and the National Science Centre on Sunday, 04 August 2024. This enriching experience saw active participation from youth leaders aged 15-29, who shared their experiences post-visit. Digital Certificates of Participation were issued to all attendees.

The event commenced at 11:00 am with an engaging tour of the National Crafts Museum. Participants immersed themselves in the “Know Your Weaves” campaign, exploring the intricate world of traditional weaves and crafts. Kiran Sharma guided the group through the Textile Gallery, while Anshu Thakur, an art lover, led the exploration of the Courtly Craft Gallery and Cultic Gallery. Raginee Singh, a history enthusiast from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, provided valuable insights into the Folk & Tribal Galleries. Ritesh Verma shared his expertise on traditional music and guided the group through the market area. Aman Kumar, the President of Udaan Yuva Tourism Club and Coordinator of the youth club, also significantly contributed to the dynamic exploration of the museum.

Participants shared their unique experiences, enhancing the overall visit. Vashu found the demonstrations of traditional weaving techniques particularly fascinating. Kashish appreciated the intricate craftsmanship in the museum’s artifacts and felt inspired by the artisans’ dedication. Anita enjoyed the interactive sessions and hands-on activities that brought the exhibits to life. Arin was captivated by the historical narratives and the cultural significance of the crafts on display.

Following the museum visit, the group proceeded to the National Science Centre at 1:00 pm. Here, the youth engaged with interactive exhibits and scientific wonders, gaining valuable insights into the principles of science through participatory activities. They developed a deeper understanding of science and its impact on daily life. The educational journey concluded with the distribution of digital Certificates of Participation to all attendees. The registration for this event was facilitated through the Mera Yuva Bharat platform. Participants praised the initiative by Udaan Yuva Tourism Club and expressed interest in future educational tours.
