Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said to establish a Madhya Pradesh industry office in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to facilitate investment and strengthen trade and business ties between the two states. Addressing the Invest MP interactive session in Coimbatore, Dr. Yadav emphasized the goal of the Investors Summit: fostering closer inter-state cooperation through trade and business, and collectively working towards making India the leading global economy under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Dr. Yadav praised the industrial prowess of Coimbatore and Tripur, noting that industrialists here have independently transformed these regions into industrial hubs. He extended an invitation to Tamil Nadu’s industrialists to explore new business opportunities in Madhya Pradesh, thereby enhancing the bond between the two states. The Chief Minister inaugurated the ‘Invest MP-Interactive Session’ in Coimbatore, a major industrial center in South India, by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering water to Tulsi, symbolizing the beginning of a prosperous partnership.

Coimbatore is renowned for its thriving textile&garment, engineering, and information technology sectors. A roadshow and an interactive session with investors and industrialists is being organized with the aim to invite Tamil Nadu’s industrial leaders to the upcoming Global Investors Summit in Bhopal, fostering investment and industrial growth in Madhya Pradesh. The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 1,200 representatives, resulting in investment proposals exceeding Rs 3,500 crore for Madhya Pradesh, highlighting the state’s promising potential for industrial development.

2025 Declared as the Year of Industry to Prioritize Investment Promotion

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the rapid development of the textile and garment, automobile, and engineering industries in Madhya Pradesh, emphasizing the immense potential in these sectors. He urged industrialists to seize this opportune moment to invest in the state and elevate their businesses to new heights. Every aspect of investment has been meticulously considered, ensuring Madhya Pradesh is future-ready with robust support from the government and the people.To transform the “Azadi ka Amrit Kaal” into a prosperous period for Madhya Pradesh, the government is working towards integrating the state’s industries into the global supply chain. Continuous efforts are being made to establish and develop industries, with a new initiative for investment promotion launched across the state through the Regional Industry Conclave.

Tamil Nadu Industrialists Encouraged to Embrace Madhya Pradesh’s Investment Revolution

The state’s eco-system is extremely favorable for the textile industry

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the state’s highly favorable ecosystem for the textile industry, noting that Madhya Pradesh offers a special readymade garment policy providing up to 200 percent financial assistance on fixed capital investments to attract large-scale garment industries. To address the evolving needs of the textile sector, a state-of-the-art Skill Development Center is being established in Jabalpur, and an MoU has been signed with the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association to support skill and cluster development. Madhya Pradesh presents the most attractive financial benefits package for the textile and garment industry in the country, bolstered by abundant cotton, affordable land, and compelling financial incentives. This combination is drawing major textile companies to the state. Additionally, the approval of the PM Mitra Integrated Mega Textile Park in Dhar district underscores the growing prominence of Madhya Pradesh in the textile industry.

Automobile Engineering, Electric Vehicles, and EV Components Highlighted as Key Sectors by State Government

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that Madhya Pradesh is home to over 10 OEMs and more than 200 auto component manufacturers. The state also hosts numerous small units producing OEM parts and ancillary components for commercial vehicles. Essential infrastructure for the auto sector is well-established, including facilities such as the Indo-German Tool Room in Indore, the Central Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute in Budni, and the Auto Cluster Training Center and Natrax Auto Testing Track in Pithampur. Automobile engineering, electric vehicles (EVs), and EV components are key focus areas for the state government, which is also preparing to introduce a dedicated policy for electric vehicles. To promote EV manufacturing, the state is developing an E-V dedicated industrial area near Indore. Additionally, production of E-V commercial vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers is underway in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh: The Ideal Industrial Destination—Welcoming, Development-Oriented, and Environmentally-Conscious

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is rich in minerals, forests, water, and tourism opportunities. The state offers a welcoming, development-oriented, and environmentally-friendly environment for setting up industries and attracting investment. Its robust connectivity, with numerous expressways traversing its industrial corridors, enhances its appeal. Madhya Pradesh is a power-surplus state with ample land available for industrial use and a commitment to clean, green energy. It boasts over 320 industrial areas, 10 food parks, 5 IT SEZs, 2 spice parks, 2 multi-product SEZs, and 2 plastic parks, with new industrial parks and SEZs currently under development.

Presentations given by four departments

In the presentation held in the interactive session, Principal Secretary of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Shri Raghavendra Kumar Singh discussed the structure available for investment promotion and industrial activities in the state, facilities, and industrial policy from the government. Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, Dr. Navneet Kothari apprised about the clusters being formed for MSMEs in the state and development possibilities. Managing Director of Tourism Development Corporation Shri T. Ilaiah Raja gave a presentation by the Department of Science and Technology on the expansion of activities in the tourism sector in the state. Investors from Coimbatore, Chennai, and Tiruppur who were interested in Madhya Pradesh took part in the session. Representatives of more than 20 local industrial organisations, including the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association, The Southern Indian Mills Association, The South India Spinners Association, the Indian Cotton Federation, The Southern India Engineering Manufacturers Association, the Apparel Export Promotion Council, and the Indian Texpreneurs Federation took part.

Three MoUs signed

In the interactive session, one-to-one meetings were held with more than 25 industrialists and 4 major industry organizations, and information regarding “One District – One Product” of the state was also given. Along with this, an MoU was signed on knowledge sharing with the Indian Cotton Corporation to promote the production and rakba of ​​ELS cotton in the state. An MoU was also signed on knowledge sharing with the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association to increase the availability of skilled manpower in the state and to establish a textile cluster. An MoU was also signed with the South India Mills Association to promote cotton cultivation in Madhya Pradesh and for research and development sharing.
