Instructions to send 3 excellent recommendations from each district
The process of National Teachers’ Award for the year 2024 is in progress in the state. Instructions have been given to the district education officers to send recommendations of 3 excellent teachers from each district by 25 July 2024. Selection committees have been constituted at the district and state levels to select the top recommendations.
In the district-level selection committee, the District Education Officer has been nominated as Chairman, the Principal of District DIET, and eminent educationists as members. The academicians have been appointed on the recommendation of the Collector. At the state level also, a selection committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Secretary of the School Education Department. Other members include the nominated representative of the Government of India and the Director State Council of Educational Research and Training as members. The Commissioner of Public Instruction has been made the member secretary of the state-level committee.
Time Table
The Central Government has prepared the time-table for the online process of the National Teachers’ Award. The district-level selection committee will be able to send 3 recommendations to the state level by 25th July. The State Level Selection Committee will be able to send recommendations of 6 excellent teachers from the state to the ‘National Jury’ in New Delhi by August 4, 2024. The Education Department of the Central Government has sent the guidelines regarding criteria prescribed for the selection of excellent teachers to the School Education Department. The guideline has also been displayed on the portal of the School Education Department.
National Educational Survey
As per the instructions of NCERT, the School Education Department will conduct the piloting of the National Academic Survey (NAS) 2024 for classes 3, 6, and 9 at the school level in sample schools selected from the state level in Sehore district on July 19, 2024. Field investigators have been prepared for this work. The responsibility of field investigators has been assigned to D.El.Ed trainees.
To ensure that the results of the survey are authentic, a field investigator has been appointed for 30 students. Sehore District Education Officer has been asked to ensure that during the survey work, there is 100 percent attendance of the students registered in the selected schools. For this work, instructions have been given to the Principal DIET, the District Education Officer, the District Project Coordinator, and the staff of the School Education Department posted in the field to continue constant monitoring. The State Education Center has also written a letter to the Sehore Collector in this regard and given necessary instructions.
